Encounter II

A scene from my fantasy novel "Meyelor":

Niktoa, a hunter of the Tscharka, the people from the Rock of the Crescend Moon, finally made it into the cave of a dragon. A faint hint in an ancient song has brought her here. She has been searching for a cure for a contagion that's devastating her world for years. It threatens even the life of her lover and her son. Following a prophecy from his birth, Niktoa's mate Tarkizim is the only hope to defeat that virus once and for all some day, but she needs to cure him first, and she needs to do it quickly. She does not know what to expect in this cave, what to expect from the mighty and unpredictable dragons, but she has to face the danger for everything that is dear to her.

It's an old drawing which was very popular on Elfwood. I was commissioned to draw it again. That copy was larger and better than the original, but sadly I did not take a photograph of that one, so there only remains this roughly drawn original.
