That's what has been my "secret project" a few weeks ago. I painted this as a surprise for my husband when he was away in Vienna. It's a large painting for our bedroom depicting our two daemons (in the sense of Philip Pullman's great novels "His Dark Materials"), the snow leapoard and the gerbil, huddled against each other in sleep.
I used a completely new technique (I meant to paint with a very limited palette and with strong, clear strokes and structures) for this one and had to rush it quite a bit during the last weekend when I was alone at home to get it finished in time before he came back, but I am extremely pleased with the result!

This is so lovely! If it's not too personal, may I ask what the symbolism of the two forms are? I love to see how other people interpret daemon shapes.
