1998 - Soft chalk on black paper - 65cm x 93cm

Sad and beautiful, isn't it? I like this one very much! I almost sold it once during an amateur-exhibition in my hometown, but the woman said, though she thought it to be very beautiful she could never take it into her flat because it was so sad! Looking back I am incredibly glad not to have lost it that day!

Anyway, I am thinking about repainting this in acrylics, since the original has become very dark due to my attempts of fixating the soft pastels drawing. Once repainted, I would love to hang this piece into my own flat.

Prints are available at Ellen Million Graphics. :w00t:

Beautiful! I love the view. I´m so bad at perspective. Those trees are great too, makes it look like there´s a whole forest behind them. And I think you chose the colors well: they strengthen the sad atmosphere of the drawing. I like it very much!

Oh my, that must be an even more sad experience than seeing the whole picture at once! I have never thought about the effect of scrolling this down before.

Thank you very much! The colours are somewhat unintentional, though. They darkened a lot when I tried to fixate this drawing by a fixation spray. But I guess you are right. I will have to consider carefully what colours I should use when I repaint this picture in acrylics - the original colours or the darkened ones ...

I don't know what the original ones looked like, but I like the darkened colors very much. Maybe a combination:)?

yeah! scrolling down slowly had a slightly different effect than seeing it all at once. it was more sudden and unexpected. more.. profound? effective?
